About IgA nephropathy (IgAN)
IgAN is a rare autoimmune disease. In people with IgAN, an uncommon form of the protein IgA1 builds up in the kidneys. This causes the kidneys to stop working properly, and allows blood and protein to leak into the urine. Over time this can lead to serious kidney problems, and even kidney failure. Although there is no cure for IgAN, treatments are available to manage symptoms and slow disease progression. However, an unmet need remains for people whose IgAN continues to progress despite these treatments.
What is IMAGINATION and who is it for?
IMAGINATION is a double-blind, phase 3 trial for people with primary IgAN. A phase 3 trial tests how well a study drug works on people with a specific disease. See our participant video below for more information.
